Asko Lõiv's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jürgen Ratassepp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Evald Peelmann's late challenge caught a FC Sinialliku's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evald Peelmann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Sinialliku booed when Vaimla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evald Peelmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the FC Sinialliku defense, Härmo Leo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jürgen Ratassepp. The FC Sinialliku fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jürgen Ratassepp should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Vaimla's Kuido Püss got control of the ball when Aadu Koppelmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aadu Koppelmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kuido Püss having to interfere. After having played for 49 minutes, Aadu Koppelmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Sinialliku's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aadu Koppelmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tauno Oksa made a kick off. If Tauno Oksa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Härmo Leo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aadu Koppelmann in the 73rd minute of play forced Vaimla's goalkeeper Kuido Püss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, FC Sinialliku's Aadu Koppelmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kuido Püss made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Härmo Leo in the 82nd minute of play forced FC Sinialliku's goalkeeper Jürgen Ratassepp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jürgen Ratassepp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asko Lõiv in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute Tauno Oksa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kuido Püss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kuido Püss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aadu Koppelmann in the 88th minute of the match. If Härmo Leo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 minutes, Tauno Oksa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Sinialliku and the Vaimla players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Härmo Leo in the 97th minute of play forced FC Sinialliku's goalkeeper Jürgen Ratassepp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vaimla were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Sinialliku to leave the ground with a draw.
