When Agur Valgma came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Yarvekyulya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agur Valgma couldn't finish the play. SK Pilpa's Antti Hani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalju Latikas in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Johannes Härg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yarvekyulya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Härg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Agur Valgma's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antti Hani was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Olav Laanesoo made the kick off in the second half. Agur Valgmas short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Antti Hani to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Kalju Latikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalju Paabo's late challenge caught a SK Pilpa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kalju Paabo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 57th minute, Kalju Paabo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Liis Rääbis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olav Laanesoo in the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Yarvekyulya's goal looked a bit too open when Olav Laanesoo came free, but Liis Rääbis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Yarvekyulya booed when SK Pilpa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raivo Valinu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olav Laanesoo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liis Rääbis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olav Laanesoo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Kalju Latikas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Antti Hani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antti Hani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalju Latikas in the 93rd minute of play.
