After 14 played minutes Mao SK got a freekick which was hit by Erik Taimre. After a defensive mix-up in Mao SK's zone, Hanno Lüdimois stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaljo Virunurm came out of the goal and Hanno Lüdimois tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Mao SK getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Rauno Kotkas hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Mao SK's goal looked a bit too open when Hanno Lüdimois came free, but Kaljo Virunurm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olaf Rosenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaljo Virunurm having to interfere. Mao SK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Hanno Lüdimois scored to the left of an out of position Kaljo Virunurm, making the score, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 29th minute by Olaf Rosenberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kaljo Virunurm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanno Lüdimois, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Mattias Ereb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Joonatan Vallik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mao SK's Kaljo Virunurm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Luks in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattias Ereb was the one to do the kick off. Rando Värk kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mao SK's goalkeeper Kaljo Virunurm, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kaljo Virunurm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanno Lüdimois, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute.
