After a defensive mix-up in Avere's zone, Herbert Jutt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vahur Toompere came out of the goal and Herbert Jutt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vahur Toompere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ülo Vaikma, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Herbert Jutt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ülo Vaikma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Avere's Karl Truupõld got a free kick in the 9th minute. Vahur Toompere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ülo Vaikma, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. If Herbert Jutt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Avere defense, Herbert Jutt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vahur Toompere. The Avere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vahur Toompere should have stopped the shot. Timmo Püss charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timmo Püss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Reinse booed when Avere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timmo Püss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alan Veide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veiko Järve, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Gerd Vool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alan Veide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herbert Jutt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vahur Toompere having to make a save. The supporters of Reinse booed when Avere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veikko Härm didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Herbert Jutt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reinse's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Jutt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vahur Toompere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Herbert Jutt was the one to do the kick off. Ülo Vaikma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veikko Härm during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Avere got a freekick which was hit by Veikko Härm. With a little luck, Avere's Vahur Toompere got control of the ball when Ülo Vaikma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Avere's Vahur Toompere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ülo Vaikma in the 62nd minute of play. Avere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerd Vool was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute, Veiko Järve made a precise shot to the right of Alan Veide. Reinse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Albert Oder charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veiko Järve in the 78th minute of play forced Reinse's goalkeeper Alan Veide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Timmo Püss was shown his second yellow card after 79 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
