But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mario Hanni couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Raimond Vahtra sped through Santos Tartu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tambet Org. The crowd rose to their feet as Santos Tartu's Pearu Vaarandi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vallo Põldmaa. That made the score 1-4 after 42 minutes of play. Elmu Hütt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimond Vahtra made a kick off. Pavel Kais hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Tambet Org showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimond Vahtra, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute.
