Üllar Kohv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ants Uustalu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaijo Toomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Üllar Kohv made a huge save. When Kaijo Toomes came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Varivere FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaijo Toomes couldn't finish the play. Üllar Kohv made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaijo Toomes in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Kuno Räim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aivar Lagle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Kaijo Toomes could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Üllar Kohv however easily saved by the left post. In the 23rd minute, Elmo Sau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ilmar Kaar came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Marjandi SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilmar Kaar couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Marjandi SK getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Urmet Vähi hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes Marjandi SK got a freekick which was hit by Elmo Sau. 35 minutes into the match, Varivere FC's Ants Uustalu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Üllar Kohv narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Varivere FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ilmar Kaar came free, but Aivar Lagle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urmet Vähi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Aivar Lagle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kuno Räim stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urmet Vähi got free with Aivar Lagle in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Urmet Vähi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Aivar Lagle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kuno Räim in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aivar Lagle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Varivere FC's Aivar Lagle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuno Räim in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elmo Sau during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Varivere FC booed when Marjandi SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elmo Sau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kuno Räim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kuno Räim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaspar Juur hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kuno Räim in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aivar Lagle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Varivere FC's Aivar Lagle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Varivere FC from getting a goal against them. Ants Uustalu struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Üllar Kohv didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varivere FC. Üllar Kohv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaijo Toomes in the 79th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Kuno Räim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aivar Lagle made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Urmet Vähi sent off a good shot on target. Ilmar Kaar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
