Volli Viru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gert Larm in the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Voldemar Udu in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evald Undrits saved Yle from getting behind. Volli Viru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Larm, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Yle's Paul Oinak got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gert Larm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yle's zone, Eedi Vooremäe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evald Undrits came out of the goal and Eedi Vooremäe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eedi Vooremäe came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Inter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eedi Vooremäe couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Voldemar Udu in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evald Undrits prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evald Undrits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Voldemar Udu in the 83rd minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Samuel Kalamees was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eedi Vooremäe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evald Undrits having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Yle's zone, Voldemar Udu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evald Undrits came out of the goal and Voldemar Udu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yle players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inter.
