To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hardo Ummelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rein Just in the 11th minute of play. Heikko Reisberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Timo Russak's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After a rather tough play, FS Kangusti's Richard Nõmmoja got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Heikko Reisberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timo Russak, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

In the 53rd minute, Rene Kiisk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hardo Ummelas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rein Just in the 57th minute of play. Leimani's Rein Just got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Üppis charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Üppis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
