Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albert Jänes started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Aavo Eelmets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Theal's goalkeeper Erich Naaber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Põhjala. After a defensive mix-up in Woldi's zone, Mark Lööper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hasso Tarand came out of the goal and Mark Lööper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kalju Alajaan's late challenge caught a Woldi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kalju Alajaan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th match minute, Theal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kalju Alajaan to maneuver through the defense. Hasso Tarand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Jänes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Albert Jänes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hasso Tarand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilmar Savisaar was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 27 minutes into the match. Hardi Viigipuu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Erich Naaber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Kungla, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Erich Naaber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fred Põhjala in the 35th minute. Hasso Tarand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Lööper in the 40th minute of the match. Mark Lööper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hasso Tarand having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

51 minutes into the game, Hardi Viigipuu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Woldi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Theal the free kick. Mark Lööper struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Hasso Tarand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Theal. If Mark Lööper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 62 played minutes Woldi got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Elts. Pavel Kungla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Pavel Kungla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Erich Naaber was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fred Põhjala struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Erich Naaber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woldi. In the 77th match minute, Woldi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Kadajas to maneuver through the defense. Erich Naaber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Kungla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Woldi's Pavel Kungla in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Theal's goalie prevented a goal. Mark Lööper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hasso Tarand having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
