In the 14th minute, Aktaion Jamussa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Marathon's Takis Patrianakos didn't even have to move. In the 15th minute, Oileus Comino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Epigonoi Iliopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Takis Patrianakos having to make a save. The supporters of Kasolaíika BC booed when Marathon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oileus Comino didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 minutes, Epigonoi Iliopoulos made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Marathon's Takis Patrianakos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st match minute, Marathon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leukothoe Atsidakos to maneuver through the defense. Simeon Pavli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Takis Patrianakos made a huge save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oileus Comino to make the kick off. Leukothoe Atsidakos was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 64th minute. Marathon's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Oileus Comino might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telis Patselas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oileus Comino ran back to his position shaking his head. Oileus Comino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telis Patselas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 69 minutes, Epigonoi Iliopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kasolaíika BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epigonoi Iliopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
