The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oinomoas Terovolas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th minute, Menoikeus Antonopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Akheron Sakellaridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Menoikeus Antonopoulos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Josef Štěpán fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Efstathiou FC's protests and gave Josef Štěpán a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Efstathiou FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Josef Štěpán hit a great ball. Menoikeus Antonopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Petros Vlachos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Akontios Tableriou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Apoel Nicosia F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akontios Tableriou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aktaion Sakellariou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Akontios Tableriou, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Lykos Anetakis fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Lykos Anetakis hit a great ball. Menoikeus Antonopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Apoel Nicosia F.C's Akheron Sakellaridis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aktaion Sakellariou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Akheron Sakellaridis took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aktaion Sakellariou. Aktaion Sakellariou dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Efstathiou FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Apoel Nicosia F.C were winning 0-2.

Akheron Sakellaridis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aktaion Sakellariou having to make a save. Aktaion Sakellariou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menoikeus Antonopoulos in the 56th minute of the match. Aktaion Sakellariou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menoikeus Antonopoulos in the 58th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Efstathiou FC got a freekick which was hit by Oinomoas Terovolas. Aktaion Sakellariou made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Akheron Sakellaridis sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Apoel Nicosia F.C's Lykos Anetakis got a free kick in the 66th minute. After having played for 67 minutes, Danaos Varvitsiotes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Efstathiou FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danaos Varvitsiotes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Efstathiou FC's Kerkyon Tsimicalis got a free kick in the 70th minute. Aktaion Sakellariou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Akheron Sakellaridis in the 74th minute. Aktaion Sakellariou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Menoikeus Antonopoulos in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Efstathiou FC booed when Apoel Nicosia F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akontios Tableriou didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Menoikeus Antonopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Efstathiou FC's zone, Akontios Tableriou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aktaion Sakellariou came out of the goal and Akontios Tableriou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Efstathiou FC's goal looked a bit too open when Menoikeus Antonopoulos came free, but Aktaion Sakellariou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Apoel Nicosia F.C's Menoikeus Antonopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aktaion Sakellariou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Apoel Nicosia F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
