The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Konstantinos Tsangaris charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantinos Tsangaris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Euneos Kavallieratos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karoútais's supporters rose to their feet, but Euneos Kavallieratos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akastos Mavrostomos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Deukalion Katsivalis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Karoútais's Nessos Koulpasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Akastos Mavrostomos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Euneos Kavallieratos got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Karoútais. Euneos Kavallieratos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Akastos Mavrostomos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Makareus Theohari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deukalion Katsivalis in the 40th minute of play. Euneos Kavallieratos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akastos Mavrostomos having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

If Akis Kouros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akastos Mavrostomos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Akis Kouros in the 59th minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Akis Kouros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Karoútais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akis Kouros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Euneos Kavallieratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Akis Kouros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Akastos Mavrostomos made a huge save. Akastos Mavrostomos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Euneos Kavallieratos in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st match minute, Karoútais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nessos Koulpasis to maneuver through the defense. Konstantinos Tsangaris kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Akis Kouros got free with Akastos Mavrostomos in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 78th minute, Akis Kouros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Akastos Mavrostomos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Karoútais's Akis Kouros shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Euneos Kavallieratos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Konstantinos Tsangaris hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
