The galazia volida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sokratis Theofilopoulos should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 21st minute of the game. One of Steaua Bucuresti:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of galazia volida:s goal. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Phaiakes Taflambas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Steaua Bucuresti getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Akhilleus Malihoudis hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Lykos Paitakes came free, but Apsyrtos Vrettos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Epigonoi Brisimitzakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apsyrtos Vrettos having to interfere. The supporters of Steaua Bucuresti booed when galazia volida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aias Kringos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ekhemos Kouropoulos, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 74 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sokratis Theofilopoulos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Apsyrtos Vrettos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epigonoi Brisimitzakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute.
