Patroklos Moundalexakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epeios Pagonis having to interfere. Nikos Chrysanthopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epeios Pagonis having to interfere. Nikos Chrysanthopoulos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patroklos Moundalexakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Epeios Pagonis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panathinaikos fc's goalkeeper Epeios Pagonis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Laios Diasakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seleykos Spelas in the 31st minute of play forced Pesky Peasants's goalkeeper Nikos Glynatsis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Seleykos Spelas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikos Glynatsis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ilias Bertsimas in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Ptolemeos Routsis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikos Glynatsis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nikos Chrysanthopoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. Pesky Peasants's Askanios Kotsilimbas suffered a sore thigh after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Charis Garofalis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epeios Pagonis having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Vaggelis Liachames mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panathinaikos fc and the Pesky Peasants players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th match minute, Panathinaikos fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaggelis Liachames to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patroklos Moundalexakis got free with Epeios Pagonis in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patroklos Moundalexakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Epeios Pagonis having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Seleykos Spelas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panathinaikos fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seleykos Spelas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nikos Glynatsis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laios Diasakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikos Glynatsis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laios Diasakos in the 76th minute of the match. Patroklos Moundalexakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laios Diasakos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikos Glynatsis having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Seleykos Spelas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Panathinaikos fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Pesky Peasants's zone, Seleykos Spelas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nikos Glynatsis came out of the goal and Seleykos Spelas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seleykos Spelas struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Nikos Glynatsis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panathinaikos fc. 90 minutes into the match, Pesky Peasants's Patroklos Moundalexakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Epeios Pagonis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Panathinaikos fc's Laios Diasakos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nikos Glynatsis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Pesky Peasants's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
