Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vasilis Sakelaris started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Alexandros Farmakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th match minute, APOLLON LIMASSOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasilis Sakelaris to maneuver through the defense. Seleykos Spelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Christos Fotiadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of APOLLON LIMASSOL:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Panathinaikos fc:s goal. APOLLON LIMASSOL:s Christos Fotiadis showed great skill when he stopped Ptolemeos Routsis:s penalty. In the 13th minute of the match Panathinaikos fc got a corner. APOLLON LIMASSOL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ptolemeos Routsis ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Seleykos Spelas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christos Fotiadis. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Panathinaikos fc's Laios Diasakos got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christos Fotiadis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laios Diasakos in the 26th minute. APOLLON LIMASSOL's Christos Fotiadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilias Bertsimas in the 29th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Christos Fotiadis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 31st minute, Seleykos Spelas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Vasilis Sakelaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to APOLLON LIMASSOL getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Rhesos Rigopoulos hit a great ball. Ptolemeos Routsis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, APOLLON LIMASSOL's goalkeeper Christos Fotiadis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laios Diasakos. Christos Fotiadis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Seleykos Spelas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Seleykos Spelas was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of APOLLON LIMASSOL booed when Panathinaikos fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilias Bertsimas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Adrastos Stamatelopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Fotiadis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Lakis Avgerinos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apostolis Nomikos was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for APOLLON LIMASSOL! In the 60th minute there was a penalty for Panathinaikos fc. Ptolemeos Routsis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Christos Fotiadis. 3-0. After a rather tough play, Panathinaikos fc's Kyknos Maneates got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 70 minutes into the match, APOLLON LIMASSOL's goal looked a bit too open when Laios Diasakos came free, but Christos Fotiadis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. APOLLON LIMASSOL's Christos Fotiadis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laios Diasakos in the 73rd minute of play. In the 79th minute, Laios Diasakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the APOLLON LIMASSOL defense, Seleykos Spelas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christos Fotiadis. The APOLLON LIMASSOL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christos Fotiadis should have stopped the shot. If Stergios Grammatakakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seleykos Spelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Christos Fotiadis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seleykos Spelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Fotiadis having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Panathinaikos fc had won after a very even match.
