Oinomoas Alatza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marios Fourakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Palaimon Paraskos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aiakos Paloumbas. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. When Palaimon Paraskos came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Melíngova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palaimon Paraskos couldn't finish the play. Melíngova's Kimon Tassioglou got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Palaimon Paraskos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Aiakos Paloumbas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Akheloos Kopsas kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Marios Fourakis struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Oinomoas Alatza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mándalon BC.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinekis Papastavrou during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marios Fourakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Oinomoas Alatza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mándalon BC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
