The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonid Baranov to strike the kick off in the second half. Nichypar Ponomarev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitaly Panukevich having to interfere. Vitaly Panukevich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nichypar Ponomarev in the 61st minute of play. Tadeuz Esoulov's late challenge caught a University of Washington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeuz Esoulov helped the player get up and apologised. Frol Spiridonov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juras Ilyin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in FC Fans of Beer's zone, Boris Nikulich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juras Ilyin came out of the goal and Boris Nikulich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nichypar Ponomarev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. University of Washington's Vitaly Panukevich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save University of Washington from getting a goal against them.
