Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vasily Magera got the match started through his kick off. Vladimir Brovko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasily Magera in the 6th minute of play forced 1899 Hoffenheim's goalkeeper Andrey Butsevich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrey Butsevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir Brovko, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Vladimir Brovko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrey Butsevich having to interfere. A collision led to 1899 Hoffenheim getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Mscislav Kuncevich hit a great ball. Svetapolk Mannik, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Evgeny Znak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dmitry Agafonov having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Gorki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkady Skibarko to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Gorki's zone, Evgeny Znak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dmitry Agafonov came out of the goal and Evgeny Znak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vladimir Brovko struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Andrey Butsevich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gorki. After a rather tough play, 1899 Hoffenheim's Mscislav Kuncevich got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 36th match minute, Gorki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arhip Dragun to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 53 minutes, Evgeny Znak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1899 Hoffenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evgeny Znak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evgeny Znak in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dmitry Agafonov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aleksandr Savelov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dmitry Agafonov having to make a save. Andrey Butsevich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasily Magera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Vasily Magera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gorki's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasily Magera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrey Butsevich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 71 minutes of play, 1899 Hoffenheim's Evgeny Znak made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dmitry Agafonov was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of 1899 Hoffenheim booed when Gorki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Lamako didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mscislav Kuncevich kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gorki's zone, Maksim Sapranovich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dmitry Agafonov came out of the goal and Maksim Sapranovich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vasily Magera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Andrey Butsevich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute Vasily Magera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrey Butsevich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Maksim Sapranovich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arkady Skibarko during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
