To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pakhom Orekhov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cheslav Usovich's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Taras Doroshevich during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pakhom Orekhov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheslav Usovich in the 30th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Cheslav Usovich who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ивье's Pakhom Orekhov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cheslav Usovich in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pakhom Orekhov saved Ивье from getting behind. When Platon Yakush came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Minsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Platon Yakush couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Cheslav Usovich dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pakhom Orekhov, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Minsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Platon Yakush was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pakhom Orekhov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Minsk players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
