Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergey Abramov in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frol Targovich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Mikita Yarosh fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szklow's protests and gave Mikita Yarosh a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Szklow's Mikita Yarosh got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergey Abramov in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frol Targovich saved Szklow from getting behind. Jakov Antonenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sergey Abramov struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Frol Targovich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polotsk. In the 31st minute Sergey Abramov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frol Targovich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Szklow's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Abramov came free, but Frol Targovich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frol Targovich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergey Abramov in the 38th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Kudryashov got free with Evgeny Hershanovich in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Kirill Barsukov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frol Targovich was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Szklow's zone, Kirill Barsukov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frol Targovich came out of the goal and Kirill Barsukov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jakov Antonenko was the one to do the kick off. Polotsk's Jakim Enin got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sidor Hleb kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Ivan Kudryashov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirill Barsukov struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Frol Targovich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. If Ivan Kudryashov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Kudryashov in the 68th minute of play forced Polotsk's goalkeeper Evgeny Hershanovich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sergey Abramov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frol Targovich having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergey Abramov in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frol Targovich saved Szklow from getting behind. The supporters of Szklow booed when Polotsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lubamir Puntus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evgeny Hershanovich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Kudryashov in the 85th minute of play. Sergey Abramov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frol Targovich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Ivan Kudryashov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Evgeny Hershanovich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Polotsk left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Szklow.
