Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Valery Mihaluk got the match started through his kick off. Yuriy Chubryk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Nikalaenok having to interfere. Gleb Egorov's late challenge caught a Zhlobin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gleb Egorov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, NovoPolotsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gleb Egorov to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes NovoPolotsk got a freekick which was hit by Sergey Skabelko. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Petr Ignatovich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zhlobin's supporters rose to their feet, but Petr Ignatovich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lubamir Salagub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. NovoPolotsk's Lubamir Salagub proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save NovoPolotsk from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Vadim Dragun managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zhlobin's supporters rose to their feet, but Vadim Dragun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lubamir Salagub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valery Mihaluk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lubamir Salagub read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Yuriy Chubryk scored 1-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aleksandr Nikalaenok, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Vadim Zakrevsky made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuriy Chubryk got free with Aleksandr Nikalaenok in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vadim Zakrevsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Aleksandr Nikalaenok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lubamir Salagub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petr Ignatovich, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 73rd minute, Yuriy Chubryk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aleksandr Nikalaenok was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 78 played minutes Zhlobin got a freekick which was hit by Valery Mihaluk. After 80 minutes, Arseny Ratov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the NovoPolotsk and the Zhlobin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 80th match minute, NovoPolotsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arseny Ratov to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 91 minutes, Petr Ignatovich managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zhlobin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petr Ignatovich was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to NovoPolotsk getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sergey Skabelko hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in NovoPolotsk's zone, Petr Ignatovich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lubamir Salagub came out of the goal and Petr Ignatovich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petr Ignatovich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
