Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Minsk's Yuriy Makritsky started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Minsk's Yuriy Makritsky got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute Semen Lagutov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Lapeiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artyom Astrauh hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Semen Lagutov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Matvey Chaiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavel Lapeiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Semen Lagutov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Lida booed when Minsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artyom Astrauh didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Lida's Ruslan Fadeev got control of the ball when Nazar Chupris tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruslan Fadeev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timur Dudarenko in the 28th minute of play. When Minsk's Nazar Chupris in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lida's goalie prevented a goal. Lida's Matvey Chaiko got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Semen Lagutov made a kick off. If Yuriy Makritsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lida's Ruslan Fadeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuriy Makritsky in the 56th minute of play. Yuriy Makritsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matvey Chaiko got free with Pavel Lapeiko in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Lida's Vadim Lysanovich got a free kick in the 64th minute. Evgeny Tabarov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Semen Lagutov struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Pavel Lapeiko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lida. Semen Lagutov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Pavel Lapeiko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matvey Chaiko kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 89thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Minsk's keeper Pavel Lapeiko was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. If Timur Dudarenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matvey Chaiko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavel Lapeiko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. After 96 minutes, Miron Tarahnevich mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Minsk and the Lida players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Minsk:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lida:s goal. Vadim Lysanovich shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 99 minutes into the game, Semen Lagutov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pavel Lapeiko. Semen Lagutov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lida eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
