Rastislav Karalevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svetamir Golubev, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Anton Naidenov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rastislav Karalevich skillfully saved the ball. Gomel's Anatoly Ragavik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksey Noskov in the 13th minute of play. Gomel's supporters rose to their feet, but Juras Rekun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rastislav Karalevich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 30 minutes into the match, Zhlobin's Viktor Lamashko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anatoly Ragavik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Svetamir Golubev struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Rastislav Karalevich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gomel. Viktor Lamashko might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anatoly Ragavik. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Svetamir Golubev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rastislav Karalevich having to interfere. Anatoly Ragavik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viktor Lamashko in the 42nd minute. Gomel's Anatoly Ragavik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksey Noskov in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juras Rekun to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Gomel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gleb Ramashevsky to maneuver through the defense. Zhlobin's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrey Fedotov in the 55th minute. In the 96th minute, Tadeuz Pleshkin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zhlobin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Zhlobin were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gomel for a fine match.
