If Anton Filimonov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Nester Voronov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boris Dmitriev, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Anton Filimonov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Matvey Mazanovich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petr Ivashenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Petr Ivashenko might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matvey Mazanovich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petr Ivashenko ran back to his position shaking his head. 31 minutes into the game, Yuriy Ramanovich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zhlobin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rechitsa the free kick. Petr Ivashenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Matvey Mazanovich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Petr Ivashenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rechitsa's supporters rose to their feet, but Petr Ivashenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matvey Mazanovich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Evgeny Kudryashov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rechitsa's Mikola Hleb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anton Filimonov in the 41st minute of play. Mikola Hleb was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anton Filimonov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 43 minute of play. After 47 played minutes Zhlobin got a freekick which was hit by Evgeny Kudryashov. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anton Filimonov made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Boris Dmitriev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Rechitsa walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
