In the 39th match minute, Grodno was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rastislav Mankevich to maneuver through the defense. Apanas Kovalevsky who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Andrey Tabunov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yaroslav Pylev made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Apanas Kovalevsky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mozyr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Apanas Kovalevsky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Mozyr booed when Grodno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apanas Kovalevsky in the 84th minute of play forced Grodno's goalkeeper Andrey Tabunov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheslav Mirantsov kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Mozyr's Artyom Glazko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nester Tamilenko in the 92nd minute of play. When Zenon Usenko came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Grodno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zenon Usenko couldn't finish the play.
