Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) FC Drumevo's Borimir Gyokov started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sevdalin Leyarski in the 6th minute of play forced FC Drumevo's goalkeeper Slavcho Kachaunov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Slavcho Kachaunov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argir Borimechkov in the 8th minute of the match. Stayko Stoichkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavcho Kachaunov having to interfere. After 11 played minutes FC Drumevo got a freekick which was hit by Tervel Dragoychev. Sevdalin Leyarski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Slavcho Kachaunov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stayko Stoichkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stayko Stoichkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22ndth minute of the game Stayko Stoichkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Drumevo's Slavcho Kachaunov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stayko Stoichkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavcho Kachaunov having to interfere. FC Drumevo's Tervel Dragoychev came free and shot a quick shot against goal 30 minutes in the game, fortunately Yuri Frangov had problems saving as it came toward the left post. A collision led to FC Drumevo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Kuzman Byalkov hit a great ball. When Sevdalin Leyarski came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the FC Smilowzi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sevdalin Leyarski couldn't finish the play. Slavcho Kachaunov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stayko Stoichkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th match minute, FC Drumevo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Subin Elenski to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th match minute, FC Smilowzi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stayko Dzhordzhilov to maneuver through the defense. Kuzman Byalkov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yuri Frangov. FC Smilowzi's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stayko Stoichkov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Slavcho Kachaunov having to make a save. Sevdalin Leyarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The referee ignored FC Drumevo's protests and gave Subin Elenski a yellow card for diving instead. Paun Kashkanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Slavcho Kachaunov was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Stayko Stoichkov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Stayko Stoichkov really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Sevdalin Leyarski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Slavcho Kachaunov. That made the score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. When Tervel Dragoychev came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the FC Drumevo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tervel Dragoychev couldn't finish the play. Slavcho Kachaunov made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Sevdalin Leyarski sent off a good shot on target. If Stayko Stoichkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Smilowzi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
