The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Lazar Etov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind CSKA Khassut's goalkeeper Borimir Pachedzhiev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Balaban's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Leyarski came free, but Prokopi Imov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanislav Kotevski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Prokopi Imov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Leyarski in the 16th minute of play. Subin Gyupchanov struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Borimir Pachedzhiev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balaban. If Lazar Etov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanislav Kotevski struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Subin Gyupchanov was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Leyarski in the 61st minute of play forced Balaban's goalkeeper Prokopi Imov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Mavrudi Marinov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lazar Etov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Borimir Pachedzhiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Subin Gyupchanov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Borimir Pachedzhiev. Subin Gyupchanov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 72nd minute, Lazar Etov made a precise shot to the right of Borimir Pachedzhiev. CSKA Khassut's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Balaban's goalkeeper Prokopi Imov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, CSKA Khassut's goalkeeper Borimir Pachedzhiev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lazar Etov. 85 minutes into the match, CSKA Khassut's goal looked a bit too open when Subin Gyupchanov came free, but Borimir Pachedzhiev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Púrpov hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Stanislav Kotevski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prokopi Imov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Adam Leyarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Balaban players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
