The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Atanas Danev came out of the goal and Apostol Karushkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikolay Kaldarúmov in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Spiridon Zagorski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 27 minutes into the match, FC Kirkova's goal looked a bit too open when Apostol Karushkov came free, but Atanas Danev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Selkibuclhak's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Radoslav Musev fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Selkibuclhak's Serafim Gergov got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Spiridon Zagorski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolay Kaldarúmov in the 34th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Nikolay Kaldarúmov reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Spiridon Zagorski. The goal made the score 1-1. Selkibuclhak's Spiridon Zagorski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simo Vúzharski in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to Selkibuclhak getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Pantaley Katincharov hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nikolay Kaldarúmov made a kick off. Spiridon Zagorski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikolay Kaldarúmov, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. A collision led to Selkibuclhak getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tzvetoslav Achev hit a great ball. Selkibuclhak's Spiridon Zagorski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruslan Malev in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute Anatoli Stoichkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atanas Danev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Atanas Danev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Apostol Karushkov in the 56th minute of play. Spiridon Zagorski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simo Vúzharski in the 59th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Selkibuclhak's goal looked a bit too open when Simo Vúzharski came free, but Spiridon Zagorski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Kirkova fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when FC Kirkova's Simo Vúzharski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Minko Kyurtev's late challenge caught a Selkibuclhak's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Minko Kyurtev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, FC Kirkova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Minko Kyurtev to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Kirkova booed when Selkibuclhak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serafim Gergov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nikolay Kaldarúmov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Spiridon Zagorski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 96th minute of the match Serafim Gergov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Serafim Gergov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 99th minute, Simo Vúzharski made a precise shot to the right of Spiridon Zagorski. Selkibuclhak's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Selkibuclhak's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
