After a defensive mix-up in FC Ruets's zone, Miladin Bankovski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tzvetoslav Borikov came out of the goal and Miladin Bankovski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tzvetoslav Borikov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tzenko Kodzhabashiyski, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Svetozar Buyukliyski to strike the kick off in the second half. Chavaklar's Dragomir Gotzev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tervel Ginov in the 53rd minute of play. Tervel Ginov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dragomir Gotzev having to interfere. Chavaklar's supporters rose to their feet, but Tzenko Kodzhabashiyski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tzvetoslav Borikov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miladin Bankovski scored 1-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tzvetoslav Borikov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
