The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Branimir Tantilov during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sarnubeykioy getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Branimir Tantilov hit a great ball. Levent Gerginski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes Sarnubeykioy got a freekick which was hit by Teofan Gorolomov. Sarnubeykioy's Paun Berkovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Levent Gerginski in the 20th minute of play. Svetoslav Mangov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denko Yakimov having to interfere. Tzeko Sakarski kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velislav Karadzhinov in the 29th minute of play forced Sarnubeykioy's goalkeeper Paun Berkovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Levent Gerginski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Osherowo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Levent Gerginski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sarnubeykioy's Branimir Tantilov got a free kick in the 34th minute. Paun Berkovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Levent Gerginski in the 39th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, Sarnubeykioy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damyan Ahchiev to maneuver through the defense. Osherowo's Velislav Karadzhinov got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Levent Gerginski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paun Berkovski having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Svetoslav Mangov to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Osherowo's zone, Ivaylo Proynov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denko Yakimov came out of the goal and Ivaylo Proynov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Osherowo getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Tzeko Sakarski hit a great ball. Svetoslav Mangov scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Denko Yakimov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paun Berkovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Velislav Karadzhinov, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 66th minute, Velislav Karadzhinov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Paun Berkovski, passed just outside the right post. Sarnubeykioy's Paun Berkovski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Sarnubeykioy from getting a goal against them. Svetoslav Mangov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 76th minute of the match Prodan Búzovski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denko Yakimov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 79 minutes, Ivaylo Proynov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarnubeykioy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivaylo Proynov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Sarnubeykioy's goalkeeper Paun Berkovski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Levent Gerginski. When Svetoslav Mangov came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Sarnubeykioy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Svetoslav Mangov couldn't finish the play. Velislav Karadzhinov struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Paun Berkovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Osherowo. Osherowo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
