The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kutsite kone's supporters rose to their feet, but Evlogi Dzhartov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doychin Zhivin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, Zahari Karakolev notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Kutsite kone's Antonio Turlakov. Antonio Turlakov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute Geno Golomehov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Turlakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vidyo Ganovski in the 35th minute of play forced Stikul's goalkeeper Doychin Zhivin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vihar Kasavetov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Evlogi Dzhartov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zahari Karakolev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Antonio Turlakov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zahari Karakolev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Zahari Karakolev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vihar Kasavetov was the one to do the kick off. Doychin Zhivin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Vihar Kasavetov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doychin Zhivin having to interfere. The supporters of Stikul booed when Kutsite kone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kubrat Gyonev didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Tzvetelin Burdzhiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 78 minutes into the match, Kutsite kone's goalkeeper Antonio Turlakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geno Golomehov. After 78 minutes, Valcho Dundarov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stikul and the Kutsite kone players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kutsite kone booed when Stikul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valcho Dundarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evlogi Dzhartov scored 2-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doychin Zhivin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Geno Golomehov in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Antonio Turlakov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
