The supporters of Mechi Geran booed when FC S H U M E N was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desislav Gladichev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mechi Geran's Anko Gladnishki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krasen Balabanski in the 16th minute of play. When Tzanyo Toplodolski fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC S H U M E N's protests and gave Tzanyo Toplodolski a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Tzanyo Toplodolski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radoy Arizanov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brunko Shtúrkelov in the 54th minute of play forced FC S H U M E N's goalkeeper Vanyo Karandzhulov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC S H U M E N's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ginyo Simitchiyski was slow to take the kick. During this time Mechi Geran's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Ginyo Simitchiyski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vanyo Karandzhulov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 58th minute, Bozhidar Kerkenyakov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kostadin Krosnev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 64 played minutes FC S H U M E N got a freekick which was hit by Aleko Rezashki. In the 65th minute Radoy Arizanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vanyo Karandzhulov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Ruslan Elenski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Brunko Shtúrkelov came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Mechi Geran fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brunko Shtúrkelov couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, one of FC S H U M E N:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC S H U M E N. In the 89th minute, Tzanyo Toplodolski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Radoy Arizanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Vanyo Karandzhulov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vanyo Karandzhulov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brunko Shtúrkelov in the 94th minute of the match.
