Velko Koshnicharov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the game, Emanuil Novkov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milyo Dionisiev helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Левски София 1914 booed when etar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milyo Dionisiev didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Yanek Bogdanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darin Keremidarski was the one to do the kick off.
