The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the match, CSKA Zwetkowzi's Viktor Dzhunakov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrey Horozov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vanyo Shekerdzhiev in the 10th minute of play forced FC Ostrovche's goalkeeper Andrey Horozov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vanyo Shekerdzhiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Viktor Dzhunakov came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the CSKA Zwetkowzi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Dzhunakov couldn't finish the play. Vanyo Shekerdzhiev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Dzhunakov in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Ostrovche's goalkeeper Andrey Horozov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Ostrovche getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Vergil Miloykov hit a great ball. Andrey Horozov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Dzhunakov, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Velko Rankov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Dzhunakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrey Horozov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vanyo Shekerdzhiev in the 32nd minute of play. Albert Amzin charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Amzin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Dzhunakov in the 37th minute of play forced FC Ostrovche's goalkeeper Andrey Horozov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stavri Ubinov was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Velko Rankov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Velko Rankov made a kick off. When FC Ostrovche's Stavri Ubinov in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CSKA Zwetkowzi's goalie prevented a goal. Nayden Kalpakchiev kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Tzeko Popyordanov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stavri Ubinov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FC Ostrovche getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rayko Kochov hit a great ball. A hard shot 60 in the game by Viktor Dzhunakov from a close distance when the talented Andrey Horozov managed to make a qualified save. FC Ostrovche's players were relieved. In the 62nd minute Velko Rankov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tzeko Popyordanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vanyo Shekerdzhiev in the 66th minute of play forced FC Ostrovche's goalkeeper Andrey Horozov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stavri Ubinov in the 72nd minute of play forced CSKA Zwetkowzi's goalkeeper Tzeko Popyordanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vanyo Shekerdzhiev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrey Horozov having to make a save. 82 minutes into the match, FC Ostrovche's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Dzhunakov came free, but Andrey Horozov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ostrovche's goalkeeper Andrey Horozov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stavri Ubinov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tzeko Popyordanov having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Ostrovche had won after a very even match.
