The audience was convinced that Adalbert Danadzhiev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mincho Karamarinov was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Zlatin Gashevski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanyo Fikov's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Valko Lalkovski kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Stanyo Fikov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Dobrevo's supporters rose to their feet, but Evlogi Kúdrinov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zlatin Gashevski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zlatin Gashevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evlogi Kúdrinov in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evlogi Kúdrinov in the 30th minute of play forced Локомотив Пловдив's goalkeeper Zlatin Gashevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Evlogi Kúdrinov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Локомотив Пловдив's Zlatin Gashevski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Dobrevo fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Dobrevo's Stanyo Fikov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 40th minute, Локомотив Пловдив's Adalbert Danadzhiev ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mincho Karamarinov. Mincho Karamarinov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Stanyo Fikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evlogi Kúdrinov in the 48th minute of play forced Локомотив Пловдив's goalkeeper Zlatin Gashevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evlogi Kúdrinov to make the kick off. Локомотив Пловдив's Zlatin Gashevski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evlogi Kúdrinov in the 57th minute of play. Zlatin Gashevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evlogi Kúdrinov, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th match minute, Dobrevo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanyo Fikov to maneuver through the defense. Adalbert Danadzhiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stanyo Fikovs short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Zlatin Gashevski to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Desislav Tzikalov's late challenge caught a Dobrevo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Desislav Tzikalov helped the player get up and apologised. Desislav Tzikalov hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. If Evlogi Kúdrinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Dobrevo getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Evlogi Kúdrinov hit a great ball. The Dobrevo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dobrevo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
