The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. CSKA Arbanasi's Iliyan Yanov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save CSKA Arbanasi from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, CSKA Arbanasi's goalkeeper Iliyan Yanov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tzeko Kachulev. If Bozhko Batev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute of the match Boyan Nolev sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Velcho Vatev skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, CSKA Arbanasi's Iliyan Yanov got control of the ball when Tzeko Kachulev tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Rila's Bozhko Batev slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iliyan Yanov. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Teofan Prúchkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Velcho Vatev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CSKA Arbanasi's Iliyan Yanov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save CSKA Arbanasi from getting a goal against them. If Bozhko Batev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stoil Gúrdakov kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bozhko Batev to make the kick off. Preslav Lichev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Velcho Vatev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 54 played minutes FC Rila got a freekick which was hit by Lozan Dudov. After 55 played minutes FC Rila got a freekick which was hit by Stoyan Zhelezov. When Tzeko Kachulev came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FC Rila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tzeko Kachulev couldn't finish the play. CSKA Arbanasi's Iliyan Yanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bozhko Batev in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th match minute, FC Rila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stoyan Zhelezov to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Dinko Dyulgerski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofan Prúchkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. The FC Rila fans cheered their team off the field, for while CSKA Arbanasi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
