Simo Timovs short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Ginyo Kelchev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Krum Neykov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stoycho Yonkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miladin Tomalevski in the 21st minute of play. Sumer's Miladin Tomalevski got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to CSKA Shipot getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Bilyan Sretenov hit a great ball. Stoycho Yonkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miladin Tomalevski in the 27th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Sumer got a freekick which was hit by Raycho Drenovski. Simo Timov in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ginyo Kelchev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 32nd minute, Krum Neykov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Simo Timov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ginyo Kelchev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 38th minute, Miladin Tomalevski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind CSKA Shipot's goalkeeper Stoycho Yonkov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ginyo Kelchev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simo Timov in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zapryan Balkandzhiyski to make the kick off. A collision led to CSKA Shipot getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Karamfil Lyamov hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Sumer's Zapryan Balkandzhiyski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. With a little luck, CSKA Shipot's Stoycho Yonkov got control of the ball when Miladin Tomalevski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miladin Tomalevski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stoycho Yonkov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zapryan Balkandzhiyski in the 72nd minute of play forced CSKA Shipot's goalkeeper Stoycho Yonkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to CSKA Shipot getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Gencho Podvurzachev hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karamfil Lyamov during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CSKA Shipot's Karamfil Lyamov got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Karamfil Lyamov off the ground. The supporters of Sumer booed when CSKA Shipot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karamfil Lyamov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miladin Tomalevski struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Stoycho Yonkov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumer. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zapryan Balkandzhiyski in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stoycho Yonkov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
