Pavel Súlov ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the FC Ботев defense, Brunko Dashov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yanaki Gorbanov. The FC Ботев fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yanaki Gorbanov should have stopped the shot. If Pavel Súlov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Plamen Petkovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tenyo Lozanov in the 26th minute of play. Pavel Súlov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Plamen Petkovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, FC Ботев's goalkeeper Yanaki Gorbanov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brunko Dashov. FC Ботев's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yanek Stambolski 35 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 43 minutes into the match, Potoka's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Súlov came free, but Plamen Petkovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tzonko Dechkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tenyo Lozanov struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Plamen Petkovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Ботев. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tenyo Lozanov made a kick off. In the 58th minute, FC Ботев's Pavel Súlov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Pavel Súlov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Plamen Petkovski having to interfere. After some careless play in the Potoka defense, Tenyo Lozanov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Plamen Petkovski. The Potoka fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Plamen Petkovski should have stopped the shot. Nenko Zaprev was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Potoka's Nenko Zaprev got a free kick in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Potoka's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Súlov came free, but Plamen Petkovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Tenyo Lozanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Súlov in the 77th minute of play forced Potoka's goalkeeper Plamen Petkovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tenyo Lozanov succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. If Pavel Súlov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86thth minute of the game Pavel Súlov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Potoka's Plamen Petkovski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tenyo Lozanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Plamen Petkovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tenyo Lozanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pavel Súlov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95thth minute of the game Pavel Súlov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Potoka's Plamen Petkovski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Tenyo Lozanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over FC Ботев could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Potoka throughout the match.
