Miladin Dzhalev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Milcho Karaganev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Miladin Dzhalev came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FC Tsarevgrad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miladin Dzhalev couldn't finish the play. If Miladin Dzhalev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42ndth minute of the game Yani Vidinski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Akhrenlii's Milcho Karaganev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yani Vidinski to make the kick off. Milan Hadzhiperev's late challenge caught a FC Akhrenlii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yani Vidinski might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Milcho Karaganev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yani Vidinski ran back to his position shaking his head. Miladin Dzhalev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, FC Tsarevgrad's Miladin Dzhalev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Milcho Karaganev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After having played for 79 minutes, Yani Vidinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Tsarevgrad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yani Vidinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Miladin Dzhalev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
