Dragolyub Púrlichev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svetozar Kalenov, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Valentin Malakov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dragolyub Púrlichev. BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Malakov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Konstantin Maslenkov sped through Dubovo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rusi Shapkarov. In the 23rd minute, Konstantin Maslenkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's goal looked a bit too open when Svetozar Kalenov came free, but Dragolyub Púrlichev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Malakov in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dragolyub Púrlichev saved BOTEV TRUSHLEVO from getting behind. Dragolyub Púrlichev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Malakov in the 32nd minute of the match. Dubovo's Rusi Shapkarov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Kúrdzhiev in the 43rd minute of play. Filip Kúrdzhiev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

After 54 minutes BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sevdalin Shishmanov who took care of the corner kick. Dubovo's Sevdalin Shishmanov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dragolyub Púrlichev in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Filip Kúrdzhiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rusi Shapkarov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Filip Kúrdzhiev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Konstantin Maslenkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filip Kúrdzhiev scored 2-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rusi Shapkarov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Konstantin Maslenkov kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Dubovo's Naycho Zlatinov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dragolyub Púrlichev. Dragolyub Púrlichev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. BOTEV TRUSHLEVO's Dragolyub Púrlichev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svetozar Kalenov in the 68th minute of play. Hristiyan Imov hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The Dubovo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dubovo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
