MANCHESTER UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robben Montens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trendafil Margin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denko Gervazov, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Jonathon Triplett made a great header on MANCHESTER UNITED's corner, it was just that Great Bulgaria's Trendafil Margin managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 15th minute Robben Montens suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Prokopi Pravchanski charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prokopi Pravchanski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Prokopi Pravchanski hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Klement Harasimowicz had several of the Great Bulgaria's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Trendafil Margin as he didn't even see the shot coming. Klement Harasimowicz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Trendafil Margin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 26 minutes into the match, Gerasim Yankulov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trendafil Margin, 3-0. 31 minutes into the game, Denko Gervazov lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Trendafil Margin. After 34 played minutes Great Bulgaria got a freekick which was hit by Donyo Lolov. Denko Gervazov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trendafil Margin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Trendafil Margin acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kaj Felin.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Klement Harasimowicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emil Marinchev kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Great Bulgaria's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Harasimowicz came free, but Trendafil Margin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klement Harasimowicz scored 7-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Trendafil Margin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Donyo Lolov's late challenge caught a MANCHESTER UNITED's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donyo Lolov helped the player get up and apologised. Donyo Lolov hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Blasi Gabas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Trendafil Margin. Great Bulgaria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Blasi Gabas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. After 67 minutes, Gerasim Yankulov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MANCHESTER UNITED and the Great Bulgaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute, Gerasim Yankulov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trendafil Margin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerasim Yankulov in the 70th minute of the match. Great Bulgaria's Trendafil Margin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerasim Yankulov in the 77th minute of play. When MANCHESTER UNITED's Klement Harasimowicz in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A collision led to Great Bulgaria getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Donyo Lolov hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Kaj Felin managed to get in a good position for a shot. MANCHESTER UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaj Felin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trendafil Margin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
