The audience thought a goal was coming when Panayot Siderov got free with Tinko Yashov in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Severino Loyola in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Svetozar Kelchev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Spiro Dzhokov might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Svetozar Kelchev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Spiro Dzhokov ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Tinko Yashov managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when CSKA's Gospodin Vidinski fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vladko Vulev hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 33rd match minute, CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gospodin Vidinski to maneuver through the defense. Gospodin Vidinski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Tinko Yashov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Svetozar Kelchev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Loyola's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Severino Loyola who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Svetozar Kelchev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 52nd minute by Vladko Vulev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 52nd match minute, CSKA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gospodin Vidinski to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in CSKA's zone, Vladko Vulev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Svetozar Kelchev came out of the goal and Vladko Vulev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Vladko Vulev came free, but Svetozar Kelchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, CSKA's Valko Mavrov got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Loyola got free with Svetozar Kelchev in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. It was a well-played corner which Vladko Vulev managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to CSKA getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mavrudi Gerasimov hit a great ball. Svetozar Kelchev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Spiro Dzhokov's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. FC Plovdiv City's Tinko Yashov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gospodin Vidinski in the 71st minute of play. Severino Loyola scored 0-3 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Svetozar Kelchev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Spiro Dzhokov in the 77th minute of play forced CSKA's goalkeeper Svetozar Kelchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind CSKA's goalkeeper Svetozar Kelchev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
