An unexpectedly hard shot by Di Kun in the 27th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalkeeper Biser Mihailov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Lokomotiv Plovdiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dobri Cheshankov to maneuver through the defense. Tolis Lazaridis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Christian Bale made a huge save. The wind increased when Moises Blasi made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Lokomotiv Plovdiv were awarded a corner. Ivelin Rasolkov went to the cornerflag to take it. Biser Mihailov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Di Kun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes Botev Plovdiv 1912 got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Daszkowski. Biser Mihailov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Daszkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Moises Blasi got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 87th minute of the match Bogdan Kondov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Bale showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 92nd minute of the match, Di Kun tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Biser Mihailov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 94 minutes Lokomotiv Plovdiv's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Billy Borre who took care of the corner kick. The Botev Plovdiv 1912 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Botev Plovdiv 1912 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
