An unexpectedly hard shot by Semen Babadishev in the 20th minute of play forced FC EGRISI's goalkeeper Tsotne Alania to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mwai Emilio Stanley í Lon Jacobsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Marat Mamporia fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thetford United's protests and gave Marat Mamporia a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes Thetford United got a freekick which was hit by Marat Mamporia. 31 minutes into the match, Mwai Emilio Stanley í Lon Jacobsen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Thetford United's Amiran Jachvadze. Amiran Jachvadze was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, FC EGRISI's Roland Robakidze got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Ambrosio Inge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vaja Cholokaev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mwai Emilio Stanley í Lon Jacobsen to strike the kick off in the second half. FC EGRISI's Ambrosio Inge got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Jarji Goraniskov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thetford United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC EGRISI the free kick. Soso Andrzheevskiy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amiran Jachvadze. Thetford United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tsotne Alania showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vadim Topnikov, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Mwai Emilio Stanley í Lon Jacobsen came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the FC EGRISI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mwai Emilio Stanley í Lon Jacobsen couldn't finish the play. FC EGRISI were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
