Khristesia Arveladze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djondo Khatiashvili having to interfere. If Lukhum Andrzheevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 8th minute, Shavleg Bitsadze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valeri Pulishvili was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 9th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Khristesia Arveladze came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Leigh United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khristesia Arveladze couldn't finish the play. Djondo Khatiashvili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khristesia Arveladze in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Lukhum Andrzheevskiy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Leigh United's Takha Sulakvidze. Takha Sulakvidze was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Djondo Khatiashvili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khristesia Arveladze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valeri Khatiashvili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djondo Khatiashvili having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Shota Bitsadze was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Old Alpha Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leigh United the free kick. After 26 played minutes Old Alpha Boys got a freekick which was hit by Shota Bitsadze. Khristesia Arveladze fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djondo Khatiashvili having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Old Alpha Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shavleg Bitsadze to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khristesia Arveladze in the 37th minute of play forced Old Alpha Boys's goalkeeper Djondo Khatiashvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukhum Andrzheevskiy in the 40th minute of play forced Leigh United's goalkeeper Takha Sulakvidze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Old Alpha Boys's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Khvicha Tsitsishvili in the 42nd minute. The corner led Old Alpha Boys's Valiko Cholokaev to fire away a dangerous shot which Takha Sulakvidze despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 44th minute Pavel Gagnidze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Takha Sulakvidze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Khristesia Arveladze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Djondo Khatiashvili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lukhum Andrzheevskiy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pavel Gagnidze struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Takha Sulakvidze didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Alpha Boys. Shota Bitsadze was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Leigh United booed when Old Alpha Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shota Bitsadze didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavel Gagnidze's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Takha Sulakvidze skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Valeri Khatiashvili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djondo Khatiashvili having to interfere. If Pavel Gagnidze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Khristesia Arveladze struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Djondo Khatiashvili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leigh United. If Khristesia Arveladze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valeri Khatiashvili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khristesia Arveladze blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Djondo Khatiashvili having to make a save. Djondo Khatiashvili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khristesia Arveladze, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Old Alpha Boys's Djondo Khatiashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khristesia Arveladze in the 93rd minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Leigh United's Valeri Khatiashvili nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Djondo Khatiashvili made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Leigh United had won after a very even match.
