Vasif Färruxov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ähmäd Bäbirov having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Äväz Hätämov during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Xanlar ANS booed when Yardımlı was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Äväz Hätämov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yardımlı's Bähär Namazov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turxan Babakişiyev in the 12th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Yardımlı got a freekick which was hit by Häsän Haciyev. Täbriz Paşayev was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 14th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The tension between the Xanlar ANS and the Yardımlı players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 42 played minutes Yardımlı got a freekick which was hit by Äväz Hätämov. When Turxan Babakişiyev came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Xanlar ANS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turxan Babakişiyev couldn't finish the play. After the first half Xanlar ANS were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Turxan Babakişiyev came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Xanlar ANS fans jumped to their feet. Xanlar ANS's supporters rose to their feet, but Turxan Babakişiyev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bähär Namazov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, Yardımlı's goal looked a bit too open when Turxan Babakişiyev came free, but Bähär Namazov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
