In the 11th minute, Vüqar Dünyamaliyev made a precise shot to the right of Teyyub Manafov. Zängilan ANS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Cuma Abduläzov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ilham Hämidov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Mehralı Balacayev hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ilham Hämidov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sahil Akubäyov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. Qobustan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Sahil Akubäyov scored to the left of an out of position Ilham Hämidov, making the score, 2-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Sahil Akubäyov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zängilan ANS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sahil Akubäyov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cuma Abduläzov struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ilham Hämidov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zängilan ANS. After a defensive mix-up in Zängilan ANS's zone, Färman Ağakişiyev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teyyub Manafov came out of the goal and Färman Ağakişiyev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Cuma Abduläzov could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Ilham Hämidov however easily saved by the left post. Qobustan's Ilham Hämidov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Qobustan from getting a goal against them. If Vüqar Dünyamaliyev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vüqar Dünyamaliyev was the one to do the kick off. Cuma Abduläzov struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ilham Hämidov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zängilan ANS. Teyyub Manafov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vüqar Dünyamaliyev in the 87th minute of the match. Nazir Älibalalı charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nazir Älibalalı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
