After a rather tough play, Sabirabad Birliyi's Nadir Qädirov got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute Zaur Bağirov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusif Mirzäyev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yusif Mirzäyev made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Älibala Äläkbärov sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of University College London booed when Sabirabad Birliyi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Usub Çäläbiyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. University College London's Älibaba Çobanov couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sabirabad Birliyi. After having played for 11 minutes, Cavanşir Mirzäyev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabirabad Birliyi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cavanşir Mirzäyev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cavanşir Mirzäyev in the 17th minute of play forced University College London's goalkeeper Sadiq Babazadä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-1 became the score in the 19th minute when Qurban Abdiyev elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. With a little luck, Sabirabad Birliyi's Yusif Mirzäyev got control of the ball when Älibala Äläkbärov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Camal Allahverdiyev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. University College London's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sabirabad Birliyi the free kick. The supporters of Sabirabad Birliyi booed when University College London was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camal Allahverdiyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes University College London got a freekick which was hit by Camal Allahverdiyev. Sadiq Babazadä made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cavanşir Mirzäyev in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Cavanşir Mirzäyev notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of University College London's Sadiq Babazadä. Sadiq Babazadä was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fariz Ibadov kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Cavanşir Mirzäyev struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Sadiq Babazadä didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabirabad Birliyi. In the 42nd minute, Cavanşir Mirzäyev made a precise shot to the right of Sadiq Babazadä. University College London's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Sadiq Babazadä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cavanşir Mirzäyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Cavanşir Mirzäyev made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Qurban Abdiyev lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Sadiq Babazadä. In the 57th minute Älibala Äläkbärov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusif Mirzäyev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sadiq Babazadä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cavanşir Mirzäyev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 minutes of play, Sabirabad Birliyi's Qurban Abdiyev made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sadiq Babazadä was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cavanşir Mirzäyev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Qurban Abdiyev came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Sabirabad Birliyi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Qurban Abdiyev couldn't finish the play. After 83 played minutes Sabirabad Birliyi got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Qädirov. Älibaba Çobanov shot a long shot in the 84th minute and a light blocked Yusif Mirzäyev hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-5. Sadiq Babazadä made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Qurban Abdiyev sent off a good shot on target. Sabirabad Birliyi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
