The supporters of Bakı IK booed when Şirvan SFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Äbülfät Vermäliyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes in the game Müşfiq Kazimov got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. When Babäk Beydullayev fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bakı IK's protests and gave Babäk Beydullayev a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bakı IK's Babäk Beydullayev got a free kick in the 11th minute. Cabbar Mayilov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaqut Bünyatov in the 16th minute of the match. Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hacı Paşayev, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The supporters of Bakı IK booed when Şirvan SFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toğrul Albändäyev didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 23rd minute of the match Babäk Beydullayev completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Babäk Beydullayev a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Babäk Beydullayev kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Şirvan SFC got a freekick which was hit by Akif Älibalalı. An unexpectedly hard shot by Talib Camalov in the 30th minute of play forced Bakı IK's goalkeeper Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Talib Camalov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Bakı IK defense, Talib Camalov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä. The Bakı IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä should have stopped the shot. Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hacı Paşayev in the 42nd minute of the match. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Hacı Paşayev sped through Bakı IK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä. Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Paşayev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as Şirvan SFC's Talib Camalov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä. That made the score 0-3 after 52 minutes of play. Talib Camalov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Söhrab Dadaşov kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hacı Paşayev's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Hacı Paşayev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bakı IK's Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Talib Camalov in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Bakı IK's goal looked a bit too open when Talib Camalov came free, but Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute Qarabulud Yolçiyev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cabbar Mayilov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Talib Camalov struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Şirvan SFC. Talib Camalov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Talib Camalov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Hacı Paşayev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bakı IK's Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Talib Camalov in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Bakı IK's goalkeeper Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hacı Paşayev. After a defensive mix-up in Bakı IK's zone, Hacı Paşayev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Näsräddin Hüseyinzadä came out of the goal and Hacı Paşayev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Hacı Paşayev came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Şirvan SFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hacı Paşayev couldn't finish the play. Şirvan SFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
