Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isgändär Albändayev in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samir Äsädli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samir Äsädli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eynulla Xudadverdiyev, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Isgändär Albändayev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Samir Äsädli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cälilabab FK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Yaqut Allahyarov hit a great ball. Samir Äsädli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isgändär Albändayev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eynulla Xudadverdiyev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Cälilabab FK's goal looked a bit too open when Eynulla Xudadverdiyev came free, but Samir Äsädli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes of play, Qarabag FK's Eynulla Xudadverdiyev made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samir Äsädli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abbas Zakirov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cümşüd Väliyev having to interfere. Samir Äsädli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eynulla Xudadverdiyev's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Cälilabab FK's Samir Äsädli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isgändär Albändayev in the 33rd minute of play. Samir Äsädli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eynulla Xudadverdiyev's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. If Isgändär Albändayev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qarabag FK's Isgändär Albändayev got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fäzayil Atakişiyev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isgändär Albändayev in the 48th minute of play forced Cälilabab FK's goalkeeper Samir Äsädli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Abbas Zakirov made the kick off in the second half. If Eynulla Xudadverdiyev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, Cälilabab FK's Fäzayil Atakişiyev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cümşüd Väliyev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Eynulla Xudadverdiyev in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Samir Äsädli, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 74th minute, Yaqut Allahyarov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Abbas Zakirov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eynulla Xudadverdiyev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Cälilabab FK's Mäcim Nağiyev got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Isgändär Albändayev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eynulla Xudadverdiyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Äsädli having to interfere. In the 90th minute Isgändär Albändayev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samir Äsädli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Isgändär Albändayev left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Qarabag FK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
